Jim Stengel on Google TV

This is a video we created and produced for Google along with Phil Mastman at Sandlot Pictures. It features a one-time client and long-time friend, former P&G Global Marketing Officer Jim Stengel.

P.S. The location is the American Sign Museum in Cincinnati, a wonderful but somewhat hidden treasure. You can see a photo stream of the event on our creative director's Flickr site.

Al Furjan Opening

On Thursday October 23, The Brand Experience, along with its partners at Obscura Digital, produced a VIP event for Nakheel celebrating the opening the company's first on-site sales centre at the Al Furjan residential development in Dubai. At the event, Mohammed Rashid, Director of Al Furjan, said, "Nakheel is committed to customer service and the opening of the on-site sales centre at Al Furjan will maximise the buying experience by giving visitors first-hand experience of the community that they will soon become a part of." Al Furjan is set in 560 hectares and will boast over 4,000 homes when complete.

Working with our partners ZB Space (design) and Lynch Exhibits (fabrication), The Brand Experience crafted the overall story line and guest experience for the new Polycom Executive Briefing Center. This included scripting and producing all content, including the EBC's HD Video Garden (see picture above), Emotions Theater and several other multi-media experiences.

You can see more pictures on our Flickr portfolio page. In addition, eWeek.com wrote a brief article about their behind-the-scenes tour of the EBC several weeks ago.

Nakheel Launch Reviews

Nakheel Tower Skyline with water.jpg

Here's a sampling of some of the reviews of the Nakheel Harbour & Tower launch, a new development from our client Nakheel featuring a tower over 1 kilometer tall:

Arabian Business: "Nakheel pulled off a bloodless Cityscape coup on Sunday night - stealing the show before it had even started with the launch of a kilometre-high tower that is likely to become the world's tallest building. In front of an audience of VIPs that included Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, the developer chose the recently completed Atlantis hotel to reveal the giant structure. Through an illuminated blanket of dry ice and accompanied by thundering music which grew to a crescendo, the model slowly moved towards centre stage before coming to a halt. It was an impressive sight and will be no less an impressive feat of engineering when it comes to be built."

The Wall Street Journal: "On Sunday evening before the show, Nakheel, a Dubai-government-backed property developer, invited guests including the acting couple Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas to the pink Atlantis hotel at the tip of its man-made, palm-shaped archipelago. The occasion was the launch of Nakheel's latest project: a kilometer-tall skyscraper."

Gulf News: "The new community was launched at a VIP event attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai."

The Guardian: The launch of the port and harbour complex was accompanied by a loud PR fanfare."

The launch event, created and produced by The Brand Experience, helped generate more than 570 news stories on Nakheel Harbour & Tower
